Set-top boxes were supposed to revolutionize the way we watched video from our computers, but that hasnt quite come to pass. Early products were difficult to use; they often dropped connections between devices and/or displayed inferior quality video. Bottomline: They just weren’t worth the trouble nor the pricetag.
