You might want to try MyUninstaller, a freebie that replaces Microsoft’s meager Add/Remove applet in Windows XP.
MyUninstaller lets me you the location of the program I want to uninstall; when I originally installed it; and the name and location of the uninstall routine (which is helpful for troubleshooting).

Here’s another tip to make Windows Vista boot up much faster. As some of you guys know, Windows Vista loads a big bunch of services while you’re waiting to open your email application. You can see the evidence by clicking the Start button, typing services, and hitting Enter. The Services.MSC interface will appear.
