Protect your PC from spyware and viruses
How to protect your PC? Start your strategy by downloading the following:
- Microsoft’s Malicious Software Removal Tool - Download the latest version straight from Microsoft.
- Microsoft’s Windows Defender - Download for Windows XP as Windows Vista has Defender built-in.
- A reliable Antivirus program - I would recommend AVG or Avira AntiVir. Make sure to update them regularly.

I think that there are a lot better freeware than these. Personally I have recently taken off avg as it was causing too many issues. If I didn’t let it up date itself it caused jerkycursor syndrome until I let it. Nope, control freak idiots do not belong on my computer. Microsoft has put out a few antispyware and I have always found that others worked better and faster. So I do not use them either. Spybot search and Destroy & SpywareBlaster keeps all popups off and Avast is a realtime protection that is awesome. Some of the others seem like a waste of time in comparison. Also a good Ole Crapcleaner is excellent for keeping your computer up to speed!
